Follow these steps to enroll your child. A student registration is not final until the registration form is complete, and all documents have been accepted.

Find your child’s school.

  • Use our School Boundaries Locator to search for schools based on your address. If you cannot locate an address with the locator or have questions regarding the results, please call the Office of Strategic Planning at 443-809-4215.

Gather the required information.

    • Proof of Baltimore County residency in accordance with Rule 5150 (Deed or lease and photo ID with 3 proofs of residency)
    • Certificate of birth
    • Immunization record
    • Copy of the child's most recent report card (if applicable)
  • If the student is transferring from another public school in Maryland, a copy of the Maryland Student Transfer Record will be required. This form may be obtained at the school from which the student is transferring.

Complete the online registration form.

  • You will need to submit a copy of each document (two options).
    • Scan and attach the document to the online registration form, OR
    • Fax a copy of each document to 443-809-5898 or mail it to the school, 1212 Cowpens Ave Baltimore MD 21286.

What’s next?

  • Once the form has been submitted, school staff will begin the registration process. Again, the registration process is not complete until all necessary documentation has been provided.
  • School staff will notify families to let them know once registration is complete or to identify any additional documentation needed to finalize the registration.

Q: How can I prepare for school

A:

  • Gather your supplies (pens, pencils, notebooks, highlighters and a binder with paper). Your teachers may tell you additional items you will need for their class.
  • Review your schedule of classes (BCPS One) and the new bell schedule.
  • Create a quiet space at home that you can focus on your work. Try to reduce distractions and make sure your technology is working.
    • All students in Grades 7-12 who already have a BCPS device must come to any school or Baltimore County public library (if open) to log into BCPS Secure Wi-Fi outside for necessary updates.

How to complete the device update (HP Revolve or HP Probook)

      • Go to a BCPS school or Baltimore County Public Library (if open) and locate an area outside of the building where you can access BCPS Secure Wi-Fi.
      • Log in with the BCPS device and ensure it is connected to BCPS Secure Wi-Fi.
      • Allow the computer to perform updates and provide additional policies. This may take 10-15 minutes.
      • Restart the computer while still onsite.
      • Log in again and ensure it is connected to BCPS Secure Wi-Fi.
      • Go to https://portal.manage.microsoft.com and click on the device button. If the student’s device is listed, you may shut down the computer and the process is complete. Software will not be available prior to school starting.
