Important Information Regarding Student Service Learning Hours Graduation  Requirement due to COVID 19:

At this time MSDE is not authorizing a waiver for the SSL Graduation Requirement.  Based on this information we have worked with content area supervisors and have learned that all infused hours will be offered in a remote setting.  Additionally, after meeting with panel of stakeholders to include BCPS Parents, Students, Staff the recommendation moving forward for INDEPENDENT HOURS IS - Safe At Home Independent Projects ONLY be completed until safety measures surrounding the Pandemic change.

Ideas for some Safe at Home Activities have been listed below.  Please reach out to your school coordinator for other project ideas.

Summer Reading Reflections are DUE!
Dear Martin by Nic Stone

It is time to celebrate your summer reading!  Reflections for Dear Martin are due on 10/9.  If you have English first semester, your English teacher will be sharing information on how to submit the reflection.  If you do not have English first semester, please send your reflection to Mrs. Hughes via Schoology message or email (ahughes3@bcps.org).  We will hold a virtual discussion and celebration on 10/28.  Invitations will be sent to all students who turn in a reflection.  Students who submit a reflection will also be entered into a gift card raffle!  Participation in the summer reading program is optional.

*Updated* Bell and Instruction Calendar for Fall 2020

In case you missed it, below is a message from Principal Holmes about the schedule for the 20/21 school year. First semester will be all virtual and you will have 4 classes a day. You will have the same 4 classes all semester meeting Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. A sample bell schedule is also below. Your student schedules should become visible this week (sometime Tuesday-Friday).

Campbell SCOTY

Our College Counselor, Mrs. Stephanie Campbell, was named School Counselor of the Year by the Baltimore County Association for Counseling and Development. Her constant dedication to our LHRS students (as well as Perry Hall High) is amazing. She provides support for all post secondary options and does so with great energy and heart.

We are so lucky to have her!
