 NEWS:  BCPS Community Outreach Blog

The Department of Communications and Community Outreach continues to enhance communications to share clear, timely, and transparent messages about our school system. Aligned with this approach, a new blog has been created,www.bcpsopps.wordpress.com.  This blog is a place where information can be shared with all students about BCPS and external programs that may be of interest, competitions to enter, and scholarships that are available, etc. Also, located on the student page of the website is an “opportunities” box. This box will highlight one of the opportunities from the blog and invite students to visit the blog to find more.  Colleges have been invited to share information about the programs they offer that may be of interest to our students.

We will continue to develop and enhance tools to better inform and prepare our students to become globally competitive citizens.

Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) has entered into an agreement with Microsoft to participate in the Microsoft Office 365 Student Advantage Program. The program will give students and their family members access to as many as five copies of the Microsoft Office 365 suite for personal computers, tablets, iPads, iPhones, and Android devices, all free of charge. The Microsoft Office 365 suite contains all of the most widely used Office functions – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher software tools.
