Loch Raven High School was established as a comprehensive public high school in 1972. It is located north of Baltimore City and currently houses 1201 students. Loch Raven
is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, by the Maryland State Department of Education, and by the National Association of
College Admission Counselors. Loch Raven High School complies with the NACAC Statement of Principles of Good Practice.
Faculty
Loch Raven's professional staff consists of 88 instructors, four administrators, a student resource officer, five counselors, one athletic
director, a librarian, and a school nurse. All are considered to be
highly qualified. Forty-four percent of the faculty have been teaching
for 20 years or more, and seventy-nine percent hold a masters degree or
higher.
