Answers for students not being able to search for images and the like outside of our network from TSS:
We get questions about search engines that can be used by students that are taking devices home in grades 6 to 12. Google and Bing do NOT function currently outside of the BCPS network on BCPS devices due to the ability of students to bypass certain safe search features. The search website www.ask.com does function at home on BCPS devices.
Image searches can be done inside of Office Suite applications like Word. Students can open up Word and go to the Insert Tab. Click the Online Pictures option.
Type in the search term and images will be available. They can be copied out of Word into other applications.
